UN special envoy for Yemen meets with Iranian FM in Muscat

The UN secretary general’s special envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg on Monday morning met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Muscat.

The UN secretary general’s special envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg on Monday morning met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Muscat.

 

During the meeting, the UN special envoy briefed Araghchi on developments related to Yemen and called for continued support from Iran for the UN’s role and efforts in improving conditions and advancing the peace process in Yemen.

 

The Iranian foreign minister condemned the acts of aggression and attacks by the Zionist regime against regional countries, alongside the ongoing blockade and sanctions on Yemen. Araghchi warned about the consequences of Israel’s violations of international law in spreading insecurity and instability across the region.
