FM Araghchi meets with Turkish counterpart

In this meeting, the two ministers discussed and exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

 

Both sides, expressing satisfaction with the excellent relations between the two countries, emphasized the shared determination of the leaders of both nations to strengthen and expand relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including the economic, commercial, tourism, transit, energy, technological, health, cultural, and security spheres, as well as in combating terrorism and organized crime.

 

The catastrophic situation in Gaza and the West Bank was examined during the meeting, and the necessity of halting the genocide of Palestinians and holding the occupying regime accountable was underscored.

 

The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on developments in Syria and Lebanon. Emphasizing the need to respect the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity of both countries, the two ministers condemned the continued attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime. They called for urgent international action to halt the grave violations of international law by the Israeli regime and to confront its hegemonic ambitions and warmongering.

 

The meeting also included consultations and exchanges of views regarding enhanced cooperation and coordination between the two countries within international organizations and multilateral and regional arrangements, Iran’s nuclear issue, and the conflict in Ukraine.
