Tehran Manama say ready to make best of new political era

Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani in a telephone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi congratulated him on his election as Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished him success.

The Bahraini foreign minister highlighted the importance of bilateral ties between his country and Iran and expressed hope that joint political talks between Tehran and Manama would further expand in the new era.

Meanwhile, the Iranian foreign minister expressed gratitude to his Bahraini counterpart for his phone call and felicitation, as well as his participation in the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.

Araghchi stressed that the promotion of ties with the neighboring countries is one of the top priorities of the new administration in Iran within the framework of the neighborhood policy.

Both sides also emphasized that they need to continue talks and share their views within the framework of the agreements.
