Iran, Qatari FMs discuss war on Gaza

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, held a phone conversation with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, discissing the latest developments concerning Palestine and the current crisis in Gaza.

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, held a phone conversation  with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, discissing the latest developments concerning Palestine and the current crisis in Gaza.

 

They strongly condemned the attacks by the Zionist regime on civilians, expressed deep concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the ongoing large-scale military assaults on civilians, particularly women and children. The parties explored political ways to end the Israeli regime's barbaric attacks, immediate establishment of a ceasefire, and the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged and war-torn people of Gaza.

 

The top Iranian and Qatari diplomats also exchanged views on proposed initiatives for a potential ceasefire.

 

Amirabdollahian emphasized that due to the escalation of war against Gaza's civilian residents, the expansion of the scope of the conflict has now become inevitable.
