Kazakh deputy FM meets Iran’s top diplomat

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev who is visiting Tehran to participate in the meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev, who is visiting Tehran to participate in the meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the members of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, Araghchi pointed to the good and friendly relations between Iran and Kazakhstan and emphasized the need to further use the existing possibilities of both countries, including the capabilities of the private sector, to enhance and expand relations in various economic and commercial fields.

He also highlighted the increasing importance of multilateral and regional arrangements for the purpose of expanding economic and commercial cooperation among governments, calling for all ECO members to take greater advantage of the capacities of this grouping to enhance their relations and exchanges.

The deputy foreign minister of Kazakhstan also stressed his country's commitment to further expanding relations with Iran in various fields.
Bakayev expressed hope that his meeting with Araghchi will contribute to strengthening and expanding economic and trade ties among the ECO members while appreciating Iran’s hosting of the ECO deputy foreign ministers' meeting in Tehran.
