Iran’s new envoy to New Zealand meets FM Amirabdollahian

Reza Nazarahari, Iran’s new Ambassador to New Zealand, met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before departing for the country of his mission. In the meeting, they discussed the state of relations between the two countries and the most important areas of mutual cooperation.

Amirabdollahian referred to the good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and New Zealand and stressed the need for boosting interactions for the purpose of exchanging modern technologies to provide food security. The foreign minister also noted that the two countries should engage in active diplomacy to establish direct and transparent communications in political, international and cultural fields. Nazarahari previously held such posts as an advisor to foreign minister for Latin American countries as well as Iran’s ambassador to Japan and Finland.
