Message from Seyyed Abbas Araghchi Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Martyrdom of Ali Larijani Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council

 In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 "Indeed we belong to God, and indeed to Him we will return."

 

With the utmost regret and sorrow, I extend my condolences on the oppressed martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, who attained the great blessing of martyrdom following a terrorist act by the brutal American-Zionist enemies, to the the Supreme Leader, his esteemed family, and the noble nation of Islamic Iran.

 

Martyr Dr. Larijani was one of the most prominent figures in Iranian politics and a symbol of moderation, rationality, and strategic profundity. With years of valuable experience in domestic and foreign arenas, he had become a rare and influential personality in the country's decision-making processes.

 

The opportunity for close cooperation with him during his tenure as head of the parliament and as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council was a valuable chance for me to intimately understand his intellectual capabilities, managerial skills, and patriotism. The loss of such a figure is a great and irreparable tragedy for the Islamic system.

 

Relying on the intellectual legacy and experience of cooperation with this high-ranking martyr, the path of the country's foreign policy will continue with greater precision, coherence, and effectiveness.
