FM Araghchi meets with political deputy speaker of Lebanese parliament

The Political Deputy to the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament conveyed the warm greetings of Mr. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and outlined his views regarding political and security developments in Lebanon and the region. Emphasizing the commitment of all components of the Lebanese state and its people to strengthen cohesion and unity in the face of threats and the continuous violations of the ceasefire by the Zionist occupying regime, he expressed appreciation for the support extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, praising the steadfastness and resilience of the Lebanese people in confronting the military aggression and threats of the Zionist regime, described the role of Mr. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, in safeguarding Lebanon’s national cohesion and unity in the face of the aggressions and deceit of the Zionist enemy as distinguished and valuable.
Araghchi, referring to the continued aggressions and threats of the Zionist regime against Lebanon and its repeated violations of the ceasefire, underscored the importance of vigilance and unity among the Lebanese government, people, and political groups in protecting Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs further reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ongoing support for the government, people, and Resistance of Lebanon, as well as continued consultations with influential regional states to counter the hegemonic ambitions of the Zionist regime.
Araghchi also emphasized the determination of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to strengthen bilateral relations with the Government of Lebanon across all areas of mutual interest.
