Irans new UN envoy discusses international cooperation in meeting with FM Araghchi
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s newly appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna Reza Najafi met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Monday prior to departing for his mission.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s newly appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, Reza Najafi, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Monday prior to departing for his mission.
During the meeting, Najafi presented his proposed plans to enhance cooperation between Iran and the UN as well as other international organizations based in Vienna.
The Iranian foreign minister wished the new envoy success in his mission and emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening Iran's collaboration with all international organizations.
He stressed the need to utilize the capacity of the platforms to articulate the Islamic Republic of Iran's positions on various issues pertaining to its national interests and security.
Najafi previously served as deputy for Legal and International Affairs Department, Director General of International Peace and Security Department at Iran's Foreign Ministry, and as Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN office in Vienna
