Iranian Algerian top diplomats talk bilateral ties Zionist crimes in Gaza Lebanon

Iran’s Foreign Minister met with his Algerian counterpart on the sidelines of the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum in Portugal.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi met with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf, on the sidelines of the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum in Portugal. The two ministers discussed the latest status of bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen ties across various fields, including economic, trade, cultural, and diplomatic cooperation.

They also exchanged views on the ongoing developments in West Asia, particularly the continued genocide in Gaza and the Zionist regime’s aggressions against Lebanon.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for Algeria’s principled stance in providing unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, especially within the UN Security Council and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He emphasized the need to establish an Islamic and global coalition to counter the Zionist regime’s transgressions against Palestine and Lebanon, halt arms sales to the regime, and work toward its expulsion from the United Nations. Araghchi also called for international action to end the impunity of the regime’s leaders and ensure their prosecution and punishment for severe international crimes.

Algerian Foreign Minister, for his part, underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Algeria and Iran and advocated for greater coordination and collaboration among Islamic nations to confront the Zionist regime’s expansionist policies.

Attaf highlighted the Islamic-Arab Summit in Riyadh—initiated and pursued by Iran—as a key achievement of Islamic solidarity regarding Palestine.

Both ministers reiterated the determination of senior officials in Iran and Algeria to strengthen consultations at all levels and committed to expanding cooperation in all spheres
