FM Araghchi meets with Asian parliamentary assembly chief

Mohammad Reza Majidi, the Secretary-General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, met and conferred with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi this Tuesday afternoon.

During the meeting, the Secretary-General provided an overview of the Assembly’s ongoing activities.

He expressed gratitude for the Foreign Minister’s special attention to utilizing parliamentary diplomacy to advance the objectives of the diplomatic apparatus.

He affirmed the readiness of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly’s Secretariat to cooperate and engage with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Araghchi, for his part, touched upon the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening relations between nations and governments.

The Iranian Foreign Minister described the Assembly’s position as significant and emphasized the importance of leveraging its capacities to enhance relations among Asian countries.
