The Iranian and Syrian foreign ministers reviewed the latest regional developments, including the current sensitive and critical conditions amid the ongoing crimes by the Zionist regime against Gaza and Lebanon, and the escalating aggression of the regime towards Syria.

They emphasized the need for cooperation between the two countries and the continuation and bolstering bilateral and multilateral political talks with Islamic countries to immediately stop the Zionist regime's crimes and to help the people of Palestine and Lebanon.

Furthermore, both sides stressed that the only way to counter and stop the Zionist enemy’s aggression and warmongering was to shore up the resilience of regional nations and the sacrifice and steadfastness of resistance fighters on the battlefield.

During the meeting, Araghchi strongly denounced the Zionist enemy’s recent aggressions against Syria, stating that the region is experiencing sensitive and dangerous conditions.

He warned if a serious measure is not taken against the Zionist regime's threats, no country in the region would be safe from the warmongering of the occupying regime, highlighting that coordination and cohesion among regional countries to counter the Zionist regime's threats are necessary.

Araghchi also highlighted Syria's significant role in the resistance front against the Zionist enemy and expressed satisfaction with the development of Syria's relations with regional countries and its return to regional organizations.

He also praised the actions taken by the Syrian government and nation to host Lebanese refugees under the current difficult circumstances.

The Syrian foreign minister said he was pleased to visit Tehran, emphasizing that Syria and Iran have strategic relations and common interests and face common challenges.

“This underscores the importance of continuous talks and greater cohesion and coordination between the two countries to counter the Zionist regime's warmongering in the region,” he said.

For his part, al-Sabbagh appreciated Iran's support for the Syrian government and people during the hard times of fighting terrorism.

He reaffirmed Syria's strong and unwavering stance in supporting Iran's legitimate and legal right to defend its national security and territorial integrity against the Zionist regime's aggressions.

The Syrian foreign minister commended Iran's recent regional diplomatic initiatives and efforts to demonstrate its power to its enemies and raise the alarms over the increasing dangers posed by the Zionist regime to the entire region.

He noted that the outpour of condemnation against the Zionist regime's aggression on Iran from various countries in the region and the world was the outcome of the active diplomacy.

During the meeting, both sides also discussed the latest developments in bilateral ties in various fields, especially the recent visits of high-ranking Iranian officials to Damascus.
