Irans Foreign Ministry taking necessary measures to provide fellow Iranians with consular services in Germany

The meeting of the Council of Deputy Ministers of the Foreign Ministry to review the state of consular services to Iranians living in Germany was held on Saturday evening in the presence of Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.

The meeting of the Council of Deputy Ministers of the Foreign Ministry to review the state of consular services to Iranians living in Germany was held on Saturday evening in the presence of Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. This came after the German Foreign Ministry announced that it opposes the continuation of the activities of Iran’s consulates in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich.

In the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister referred to the decision of the German foreign minister to stop the activities of the Iranian consulates in the European country and described this move as strange and unjustified.
Araghchi added that the decision causes hardship for Iranians in Germany and others applying for consular services and visas.

At the same time, Araghchi stressed that the Iranian Foreign Ministry considers itself obliged to take all possible measures and make arrangements to ensure that Iranians in Germany have access to the necessary consular services and will not spare any efforts in this regard.

After a report by the deputy foreign minister for consular affairs, parliament, and Iranian expatriates, a series of measures were devised to prevent disruptions in providing services to Iranians living in Germany.
Necessary measures were taken to facilitate the processes required for providing consular services to the Iranians by equipping and strengthening consular online systems as well as strengthening nearby embassies, including the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Berlin, Bern, The Hague, Vienna, Prague, and Brussels to provide consular services to the dear Iranians.
