Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf held a telephone conversation this Thursday afternoon to discuss regional developments.
The two top diplomats reviewed the current regional situation and the dangerous conditions resulting from the ongoing genocide by the Zionist regime in Gaza and its aggression against Lebanon. They emphasized the need for effective and coordinated international efforts, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
They further viewed the upcoming Islamic-Arab Summit as a vital opportunity to address these issues.
During the conversation, Araghchi expressed gratitude for Algeria’s firm stance in supporting the people of Palestine and Lebanon, its condemnation of the recent Zionist regime's aggression against Iran, and backing Tehran’s request for a United Nations Security Council meeting on this matter
