He described this crime as a terror act of aggression, saying the cowardly and heinous move is yet another sign of the terrorist nature of the Zionist regime.
He added that throughout its wretched existence, the Zionist regime has frequently and steadily violated international law and norms and has committed all kinds of crimes, and on Sunday, it did a cowardly and terrorist act.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman offered condolences to the great Iranian people, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and the honorable general's family over the his martyrdom.
Kanaani added that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take necessary measures and respond to this act at the right place and time.
