Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, held consultations with  Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi in New York, on a United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) draft resolution aimed at ending the Zionist regime’s crimes.

The Iranian foreign minister arrived in New York on Wednesday evening local time for international consultations on the situation in Palestine and the region.

On Thursday, he talked about the proposed resolution on the sidelines of the UNGA special meeting, stating, “The resolution should include three elements; an immediate ceasefire, the necessity for permanent access and delivery of humanitarian aid to the oppressed people in Gaza, and countering forced displacement of the Palestinians.”

The Jordanian foreign minister, in turn slammed the Zionist regime’s raids against the oppressed Palestinian people and stressed the need for the three elements noted by Amirabdollahian to be included in the resolution proposed by Brazil.

Both sides also said Islamic countries should boost synergy and cooperation among themselves to stand up for the Palestinian people’s rights.
