Iran welcomes three-way border treaty between Uzbekistan Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has welcomed the signing of a treaty to determine the connection point of the borders of Uzbekistan Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and the Khujand declaration on eternal friendship between the three neighboring countries.

 

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has welcomed the signing of a treaty to determine the connection point of the borders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and the Khujand declaration on eternal friendship between the three neighboring countries.

Baqaei described it as an important step towards mutual respect for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, building mutual trust, and consolidating peace and stability in Central Asia.

 

He pointed to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s logical policy to support the efforts and initiatives of the Central Asian countries to peacefully resolve border disputes and strengthen integration in the region.

 

Baqaei expressed hope that the trilateral agreement between Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan will guarantee lasting peace and stability in the region and pave the way for greater understanding and cooperation in various fields and will strengthen the economic growth and development of the countries of the region.
