Iran FM meets Jordan king in Amman talks Israeli crimes bilateral ties

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi who is visiting Jordan as part of his consultations with foreign officials over regional developments on Wednesday morning met with the country’s monarch King Abdulla II.

In the meeting, Araghchi outlined Iran’s view regarding the security situation in West Asia and the efforts made by the Islamic Republic to prevent an escalation of instability and insecurity in the region. He stressed the need for greater cooperation and solidarity between regional countries and within the Muslim world in order to force the Zionist regime to stop its genocidal invasions and war-mongering.

Araghchi said he is deeply concerned and sad about the unfortunate situation of the displaced in Gaza and Lebanon, who are now deprived of the basic facilities to continue their lives. The Iranian foreign minister called for Muslim countries to mobilize all their capacities to collect and send humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon.

The king of Jordan for his part expressed great concern about the current situation in the region and the dangers as well as serious consequences caused by the widening of the war and instability on all countries, noting Jordan's determination to give any assistance and participate in initiatives aimed at restoring stability and peace to the region.


Araghchi and King Abdullah II also underlined the will of the two countries to develop bilateral relations and to continue consultations regarding regional developments in order to help maintain security and stability in the region.
