Tajik Energy and Transport Ministers meet Iranian Foreign Minister

Dalir Jum‘a Minister of Energy and Water Resources and Azim Ibrohim Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan who have traveled to Tehran for talks and consultations with their counterparts met this Saturday evening with Seyed Abbas Araghchi Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Dalir Jum‘a, Minister of Energy and Water Resources, and Azim Ibrohim, Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, who have traveled to Tehran for talks and consultations with their counterparts, met this Saturday evening with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed appreciation to the government and people of the Republic of Tajikistan for their valuable support during the American-Zionist military aggression against Iran, as well as for the valuable presence of His Excellency Emomali Rahmon at the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his sincere expression of condolences to the leadership, government, and nation of Iran.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran and Tajikistan, as heirs to the ancient Persian civilization, have always stood by one another and shared both difficult and joyful days.

Referring to the reciprocal visits by the presidents of Iran and Tajikistan and the agreements reached during those two trips, the Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the need to utilize the diverse capacities existing in the two countries to develop and elevate relations, particularly in the economic and commercial spheres.

In the meeting, which was also attended by Farrukh Sharifzoda, Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, the Tajik Ministers of Energy and Water Resources and of Transport expressed satisfaction with the excellent level of relations between the two friendly countries and emphasized the serious will of the high-ranking officials of their country to further develop and expand relations, including in the fields of energy and transport.

The Tajik ministers also expressed pleasure at today’s talks with their Iranian counterparts and voiced the hope that, with the formation of a joint working group and the agreed mechanisms, the understandings reached—especially in the areas of energy and transport—would be implemented.
