Iran strongly condemns Israeli regime’s crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the escalation of the Israeli regime’s military attacks and terrorist operations against the oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank including yesterday’s attack on the Jabalia police station which resulted in the martyrdom of the police commander and a number of police personnel as well as the arrest and torture of Palestinians the confiscation of Palestinian land in the West Bank the destruction of vital infrastructure and the imposition of restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the escalation of the Israeli regime’s military attacks and terrorist operations against the oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including yesterday’s attack on the Jabalia police station, which resulted in the martyrdom of the police commander and a number of police personnel, as well as the arrest and torture of Palestinians, the confiscation of Palestinian land in the West Bank, the destruction of vital infrastructure, and the imposition of restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Despite the purported ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip reached around nine months ago, the Israeli regime has violated the ceasefire more than 3,600 times and martyred more than 1,100 Palestinians, many of them women and children. At the same time, by maintaining its inhumane blockade of Gaza, it continues to prevent the entry of the Palestinian people's basic necessities into the enclave.

Meanwhile, despite the ongoing genocide and heinous crimes in the Gaza Strip, the so-called Peace Council has not only failed to take any action to stop the crimes of the Zionist occupiers, but has instead become a tool for whitewashing the crimes of the child-killing regime, under the shadow of the United States' comprehensive and continued support for it and the inaction of the United Nations.

There is no doubt that the US regime, by virtue of its comprehensive military, political, and propaganda support for the Israeli regime, as well as its obstruction of efforts to hold the regime's officials accountable before the relevant international bodies and courts, is complicit in the crimes committed and the continued genocide of the Palestinian people, and must itself be held accountable for this situation.

The international community, particularly the United Nations and all its member states, especially Islamic countries, have a legal and moral obligation to take action to stop the genocide, end the occupation, ensure the realization of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, and prosecute and punish Zionist criminals.
