Iran's Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s air strikes against southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region.
Esmaeil Baqaei offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and expressed solidarity with the Government and people of Lebanon.
Referring to the targeting of residential and industrial areas as well as Lebanon’s urban infrastructure, Baqaei described these attacks as a manifest violation of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and of international law. He underscored the necessity of holding the Zionist regime accountable and subjecting it to punishment for the commission of war crimes.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further noted the regime’s persistent violations of the ceasefire understanding over the past year. He recalled the responsibility of the guarantors of the ceasefire. Baqaei called for more resolute action by the international community, the United Nations, and regional countries to confront the aggression and warmongering of the occupying regime.
