Top diplomats of Iran Oman meet in Muscat

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi who has traveled to Muscat at the head of a delegation to participate in indirect talks with the US regarding nuclear issues and the lifting of unjust and illegal sanctions met on Saturday with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi upon his arrival.

 

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to Muscat at the head of a delegation to participate in indirect talks with the US regarding nuclear issues and the lifting of unjust and illegal sanctions, met on Saturday with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, upon his arrival.

 

During the meeting, Iran's foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the strong and long-standing relations between the two countries in all fields.

 

He appreciated Oman's responsible approach to regional issues and developments, describing Oman's hosting of the indirect Iran-US talks as a reflection of this approach.

 

Araghchi thanked his Omani counterpart for their efforts in facilitating the talks.

 

Oman's foreign minister welcomed Araghchi and the accompanying delegation, describing Oman-Iran relations as exceptional. He also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for choosing Muscat as the venue for the important negotiations.

 

During the meeting, Al Busaidi briefed Iran's foreign minister on the measures and arrangements made for Saturday’s indirect talks.

 

Furthermore, in line with the indirect Tehran-Washington talks, the Iranian foreign minister shared the key points and positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran with his Omani counterpart to be conveyed to the other side.
