Iran warns of repetition of Israel’s Gaza-style genocide in West Bank

Baqaei strongly condemned the crimes being committed by the Israeli forces including arbitrary detentions and the destruction of people’s homes.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman referred to repeated warnings by the UN human rights officials including the UN special rapproteur for Palestine about the spillover of the Israeli genocidal campaign to the West Bank during the truce in Gaza and the silence of the international community.
Baqaei called for the serious reaction of global community, especially Muslim and regional countries, to prevent a repetition of the heinous crimes by the Zionist occupiers in the West Bank.
He voiced regret over the UN and the UN Security Council’s inaction in the face of the spread of the genocide to other parts of Palestinian territories.
Baqaei underscored the need for all governments to fulfill their legal and moral duty to put an end to the genocide and other heinous crimes under international law.
He reminded the International Criminal Court and humanitarian organizations such as the International Committee of the Red Cross as well as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees of their legal and humane duty vis-à-vis the current unprecedented disasters in the West Bank and Gaza.
