Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, continued his telephone consultations with foreign ministers of IAEA Board of Governors member states. Araghchi held discussions with the foreign ministers of Ghana (the chair of the board), Egypt, Armenia, and Thailand this Thursday. He urged them to oppose the resolution proposed by three European countries and to prevent the Board of Governors from being used as a platform to advance their political agendas.

Araghchi outlined the constructive approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in its engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency. He highlighted the understandings reached during the recent visit of the IAEA Director-General to Tehran. The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that any resolution against Iran would be met with reciprocal measures from Iran.

These consultations aim to reinforce diplomatic efforts to block resolutions that could negatively affect Iran's cooperation with the IAEA and to promote a constructive atmosphere for addressing nuclear issues through dialogue.
