Iran offers condolences over massacre in Sudan

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned on Wednesday the killing of innocent people in Sudan.

 

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned on Wednesday the killing of innocent people in Sudan.

 

Kanaani said the killing and wounding of hundreds of innocent people, including women and children, in a raid on the Wad al-Nura village was ghastly and shocking.

 

He also expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s apprehension over the ongoing civil war in Sudan and the dreadful situation of innocent people in different conflict zones in the country.

 

The spokesperson expressed his deep sympathy with the grieving families amid the incessant conflicts and called for speedy restoration of peace and normal living conditions to the country and an immediate stop to the killing and massacre of innocent people.

 

He also stressed on the responsibility of the world community, especially human rights institutions, in taking effective measures and stopping the situation on the ground in Sudan
