Iran's new envoy to Uzbekistan meets with FM, talks diplomatic plans

Mohammad Ali Eskandari, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan, held discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of departure for the place of his mission.

In the meeting, Eskandari presented his plans for the upcoming work period at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tashkent.

 

In turn, Amirabdollahian emphasized the crucial importance of fostering friendly relations between the two countries. The Iranian foreign minister highlighted the shared desire of the presidents of Iran and Uzbekistan to enhance their bilateral relations and stressed the need to leverage existing capacities for mutual benefit.

 

Mohammad Ali Eskandari has previously held various positions, including the head of the information department, leading the building, property and acquisition department, and acting as the deputy adviser for economic diplomacy. Furthermore, he has held deputy and chargé d'affaires positions at Iran's embassies in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Ireland.
