While offering condolences over the martyrdom and injury of a group of journalists and media staff in this act of terrorism, Kanaani extended sympathies with the bereaved families and those whose loved ones were injured as well as the community of Afghan journalists, especially in Balkh province. He further wished swift recovery for the wounded. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said those who orchestrated and carried out the cruel terrorist attack are enemies of stability, security and peace of the Muslim and neighboring nation of Afghanistan, adding that they have targeted information dissemination and awareness as well as peaceful coexistence of the people from all walks of life in Afghanistan.
