Iran’s new consul general in Lahore meets with Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian

Mehran Movahhedfar, Iran’s new consul general in the city of Lahore, held a meeting with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of departure for Pakistan. They held talks on the priorities on the agenda of the diplomatic mission.

Mehran Movahhedfar, Iran’s new consul general in the city of Lahore, held a meeting with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of departure for Pakistan. They held talks on the priorities on the agenda of the diplomatic mission.

During the session, Amirabdollahian highlighted the political and cultural commonalities between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as well as growing bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He also gave the new consul general the necessary directions regarding all-out efforts by Iranian missions in Pakistan toward the development of bilateral cooperation.

Prior to his appointment to the new post, Movahhedfar served as head of the Foreign Ministry’s office for systems and cyberspace.
