Iranian FM speaks with Pakistans deputy PM calls for restraint amid New Delhi-Islamabad tensions

Pakistans Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Friday evening to discuss and exchange views on the latest developments in bilateral relations between Pakistan and India.

During the phone call, Pakistan's foreign minister briefed Araghchi on the recent developments between Pakistan and India.

 

He also appreciated Iran's constructive and responsible approach toward the tensions between the two countries.

 

The Iranian foreign minister, while clarifying Iran’s stance, expressed regret over the situation in the region and emphasized the importance of restraint and patience by both sides to manage the crisis.

 

He reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's good relations with both Pakistan and India, and declared Iran's readiness to extend its goodwill efforts to help reduce tensions and strengthen stability in the region
