Iran expresses concern over dire situation in besieged Sudanese city of El Fasher

The spokesperson for Irans Foreign Ministry Esmail Baqaei condemned the siege of El Fasher in North Darfur Sudan and attacks on defenseless civilians sheltering in Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps.

 

The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqaei,  condemned the siege of El Fasher in North Darfur, Sudan, and attacks on defenseless civilians sheltering in Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps.

 

Expressing deep concern over the catastrophic humanitarian situation, he called for an end to the siege, cessation of hostilities, and protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law.

 

Baqaei reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled stance in support of Sudan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
