Iranian Egyptian FMs talk diplomacy Gaza

In a telephone conversation held on Saturday night between Egyptian foreign minister Badr Abdelatty and his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Abbas Araghchi the two ministers exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings and discussed regional developments particularly the situation in Gaza.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister provided a briefing on his country’s ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reinstating the ceasefire in Gaza and underscored the importance of continued regional diplomacy to prevent further escalation and insecurity.

 

The Iranian Foreign Minister, referring to his recent two-week diplomatic consultations with various regional and extra-regional countries, emphasized the necessity of sustained and coordinated action by regional states to bring an end to the genocide in Gaza and to halt the Zionist regime’s continued aggression against Lebanon and Syria, which poses a grave threat to regional and international peace and security.
