Iran’s Foreign Minister meets with Venezuela’s Oil Minister

During the talks, the top Iranian diplomat emphasized the expansion and promotion of cooperation with Venezuela, especially in the implementation of agreements, calling for a removal of the obstacles and challenges as well as for efforts to speed up the growth of bilateral cooperation.
He also pointed to a visit by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to Tehran, describing the trip as a turning point in ties between the two countries.
For his part, the Venezuelan oil minister highlighted Iran’s wide experience in energy and technical fields, expressing eagerness for the transfer of the know-how to Venezuela and closer bilateral cooperation in the oil sector. Such cooperation, he added, will bolster the standing of the two countries on the global stage.
The two sides also described the strategic document signed between the two countries during Maduro’s visit to Tehran as a road map for bilateral ties, stressing the need to seize the opportunities and accelerate the implementation of the previously-inked agreements.
