Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Yemeni counterpart Jamal Ahmed Ali Amer have discussed regional developments and bilateral issues during a telephone conversation. The Iranian foreign minister said the ceasefire agreement between Hamas resistance movement and the Zionist regime is a result of the resilience of the people of Gaza and the support from the resistance front, including the honorable support of the Yemeni people for the oppressed people of Palestine. Araghchi pointed to Yemen's significant role in achieving this victory, adding that after 15 months of crimes and genocide, the Zionist regime failed in achieving its malicious goals and was compelled to surrender to the will of the patient and resilient Palestinian people.   He also spoke  about the recent visit of the UN secretary general’s special envoy for Yemen to Tehran, describing discussions in this regard as beneficial and effective. The Iranian foreign minister further reaffirmed Iran's continued support for the Yemeni government and people.   The Yemeni minister of foreign affairs and expatriates also expressed pleasure with the imposition of a ceasefire agreement on the genocidal Zionist regime, saying Yemen is monitoring the implementation of the truce. Amer noted that the future actions of Yemen in support of the Palestinian people depend on the opposing side’s commitment to implementing the ceasefire and completely halting the genocide against Palestinians.   He also briefed Araghchi on the latest developments on the ground in Yemen and appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's political and moral support for the Yemeni government and people in the face of the enemies’ acts of aggression.
