Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, who has traveled to Riyadh to attend the second tripartite Iran-China-Saudi Arabia meeting, met on Tuesday morning with his Chinese counterpart Deng Li.
During the meeting, Takht Ravanchi referred to the recent meeting between the presidents of the two countries on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan, noting they were unanimous on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
He emphasized the importance of implementing the existing agreements and continuing talks on bilateral, regional, and international issues.
Meanwhile, Deng Li highlighted the goal of advancing cooperation based on the leaders' consensus and expressed China's readiness to utilize all bilateral and multilateral capacities, including presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2025, to expand cooperation.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
