Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi have, in a telephone conversation, discussed the latest developments in the region and the trend of expanding bilateral ties between Tehran and Beijing.
Amirabdollahian briefed his Chinese counterpart on diplomatic efforts and the legitimate action of the Iranian armed forces in the face of the Israeli regime’s audacity and its bombing of Iran’s Embassy in Damascus.
The Iranian foreign minister further said, "We have clearly warned the White House that if the Zionist regime dares to repeat terrorist attacks against Iran's interests and security, Tehran's response and its next move will be decisive, immediate and extensive.”
The top Chinese diplomat for his part outlined Beijing’s view about regional developments. Wang said China strongly condemns the attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus as a violation of international rules and principles.
He added, “We, in the Security Council, have always supported the just demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of obstruction by the US government and the adoption of double standards by Western member states of the UN Security Council in condemning the actions of Israel.”
Wang noted that in a phone conversation with his US counterpart has briefed him on the principled stance of the Iranian side and steadily pushed for establishing peace in the region and a ceasefire in Gaza.
