Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Constantinos Kombos, Foreign Minister of Cyprus, held a telephone conversation.

During the call, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on regional developments.
Referring to the United States' illegal and aggressive actions against Iran, Iran's foreign minister said the insecurity imposed on the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz is the direct result of the military aggression carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran. He stressed that the United States' criminal and provocative actions in the Strait of Hormuz have not only endangered regional peace and security but have also caused unprecedented disruption to commercial shipping in the area, adding that the international community must hold the United States accountable for these actions.

Referring to Cyprus' commitment to regional peace and security, the Cypriot foreign minister emphasized the need to pursue diplomatic channels to prevent further escalation of tensions.
