Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei strongly condemned the Zionist regime's brutal attacks against some areas in the Gaza Strip, including a police center, tents sheltering displaced Palestinians, and residential neighborhoods, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 30 people, including six children.

Baqaei further spoke about the continued killing of the people of Gaza despite the ceasefire announced in October 2025, and the martyrdom of 524 Palestinians over the past 110 days. He said the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the continued food and medical blockade of the Strip, are clear indications of the continuation of an 80-year colonial genocidal policy in Palestine, carried out with the support and complicity of the US and certain European parties, including Germany and the UK.

While extending condolences to the families of the victims and to the Palestinian people, Baqaei underlined the shared responsibility of the international community, particularly the UN, its secretary general, and the guarantors of the ceasefire, to hold the occupying regime accountable for its crimes and repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement. He called for urgent action to halt the genocide, prosecute and punish the perpetrators, ensure the complete withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, allow unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid, fully reopen the Rafah border crossing, and immediately begin the process of Gaza’s reconstruction.
