Foreign ministers of Iran Pakistan discuss bilateral ties regional developments

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar discussed the latest regional developments and bilateral relations in a phone call.

During the phone conversation, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations, and emphasized the mutual resolve of the two countries to strengthen interactions in all areas.
Regional and international developments were also exchanged.
The Iranian foreign minister also appreciated Pakistan's principled stances, including during the UN Security Council session last Thursday, in rejecting foreign interference in Iran's internal affairs and condemning the terrorist actions that led to the martyrdom and injury of a number of law enforcement-security forces and ordinary Iranian citizens from January 8th to 10th. He stressed the necessity for regional countries to pay attention to maintaining regional peace and stability against the interventionist moves of the US.
The foreign minister of Pakistan, while strongly condemning terrorism and any foreign interference in Iran's internal affairs, expressed confidence that the Iranian government and people, with national unity and cohesion, will safeguard the country's security and national sovereignty.
Expressing concern about the consequences of any escalation of tensions, he emphasized the importance of utilizing diplomatic channels and regional cooperation to maintain stability and security in the region.
