Iranian Armenian FMs discuss regional issues over phone

During the phone call the two reviewed and exchanged views on the latest state of bilateral relations and regional developments following the military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran and the subsequent cessation of Israeli attacks.

 

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, and his Armenia counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, held a telephone conversation this Tuesday afternoon. During the phone call, the two reviewed and exchanged views on the latest state of bilateral relations and regional developments following the military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran and the subsequent cessation of Israeli attacks.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, while outlining the current situation, underscored the responsibility of the international community and the United Nations to hold the United States and the Zionist regime accountable for their military aggression against Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for their violation of the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and peremptory norms of international law.

Araghchi affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will seriously pursue its legitimate right to identify the aggressor and seek reparations through the relevant international organizations.

He also expressed gratitude for the principled position of the Armenian government regarding the unlawful actions of the Zionist regime and the United States, and appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the Armenian authorities in facilitating consular matters concerning Iranian nationals during the imposed war against the country.

The Armenian Foreign Minister, for his part, reiterated his condemnation of the acts of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed hope that the cessation of hostilities would contribute to de-escalation and greater stability in the region.
