to the Press Following the Meeting with the E3/EU
Friday, 20 June 2025 - Geneva
I met today with the foreign ministers of E3 and the High Representative of the EU in Geneva. We had serious and respectful discussions.
- 1. I expressed Iran's serious concern on the non-action of E3/EU to condemn the Israeli Regime's aggression against Iran and stressed that Iran will continue exercising its right to self-defense against the regime to stop the aggression and ensure its non-recurrence.
2- Iran's nuclear program is peaceful and has always been under the IAEA's safeguards and monitoring. Hence, armed attacks against safeguarded nuclear facilities by a regime that is not a party to any WMD treaties is a serious crime and a violation of Jus Cogens and international law.
In this context, I expressed grave concern about the non-condemnation of these heinous attacks by E3/EU.
3- Iran is ready to consider diplomacy once the aggression is stopped and the aggressor is held accountable for the crimes committed. In this regard, I made it crystal clear that Iran's defense capabilities, including missiles, are not negotiable.
4- We support the continuation of discussions with E3/EU and express our readiness to meet again in the near future.
