Iran Iraq FMs hold phone conversation

During a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran offering condolences over the martyrdom of several Iranian military figures university professors and ordinary citizens in Israeli attacks.

 

 

During a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran,  offering condolences over the martyrdom of several Iranian military figures, university professors, and ordinary citizens in Israeli attacks.

 

Fuad Hussein called for a unified stance and efforts by Islamic countries in international bodies and within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn the Zionist regime’s aggression and to prevent further escalation of insecurity in the region.

 

Araghchi in turn, appreciated the principled position of the Iraqi government, religious scholars, and senior clerics on the Israeli aggression and Iraq’s explicitly condemning the Zionist regime’s onslaught. He stressed the importance of the effective implementation of the security agreement between the two countries by all relevant parties.

 

Araghchi also noted that Iran is determined to defend its territorial integrity against the Zionist regime’s aggression, and that the defensive operations of Iran’s armed forces will continue with full force until the complete cessation of this regime’s aggression.
