President of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi during which he condemned the military aggression of the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

President of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, during which he condemned the military aggression of the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Barzani  offered condolences over the martyrdom of a number of Iranian military figures, academic elites, and ordinary citizens.

 

He called for immediate and effective measures by the international community to prevent further deterioration of security in the region.

 

Araghchi appreciated the widespread condemnation of the Zionist regime’s aggression by political figures, religious scholars, and authorities in Iraq, including in the Kurdistan Region.

He stressed that the current critical circumstances require the Iraqi government and that of the Kurdistan region to fully implement the terms of the bilateral security agreement in order to prevent any exploitation by ill-wishers seeking to destabilize the border areas.

 

Araghchi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its powerful operations to defend its sovereignty, national security, and its people until the Zionist regime's aggression is halted and the criminal regime is held accountable.
