Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities and residential areas that have martyred a number of military commanders university professors women and children.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities and residential areas that have martyred a number of military commanders, university professors, women, and children.

He described these actions as a clear violation of international law and called for a strong response from the international community, as well as an explicit condemnation of the aggressions in international forums, particularly the United Nations Security Council.

Araghchi appreciated China’s and other regional countries' responsible stance in condemning the acts of the Zionist regime and warned that such an aggression would drive the region into a dangerous cycle of violence.

Araghchi underscored Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense against the Zionist regime’s aggression, saying the Islamic Republic has responded, and will continue to respond, firmly to the regime’s brutal actions.

He also criticized the recent resolution passed by the IAEA Board of Governors against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program led by three European countries and the US. Araghchi described the resolution as a pretext for the Zionist regime’s hostile acts against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

He called for the regime to be held accountable for this dangerous breach of international law and thanked China for voting against the resolution.

The top Iranian diplomat added that in order to protect its national sovereignty, people, and security, Iran has responded decisively to the Zionist regime’s aggression and is determined to exercise its legitimate right to fight back against the Zionist regime.

Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, reaffirmed Beijing’s principled stance in condemning the violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by Israel. He described the attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities as a dangerous act that violates all international norms.

Wang said China has condemned these acts in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and has also called for an end to the conflict in the UN Security Council.

Wang, referred to US support for the Zionist regime’s acts, underscoring the need to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East to prevent a full-scale war. He noted that Iran has consistently underscored the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
