Iran welcomes Omani Foreign Ministrys statement regarding cessation of US aggression against Yemen

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei has welcomed a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman concerning the developments related to the Republic of Yemen and the cessation of US aggression against the country.

He expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Omani government in this regard.

 

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson praised the steadfastness of the great nation of Yemen in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine in the face of genocide and occupation as well as the Yemenis' resilience against repeated US attacks over the past year.

 

Baqaei stressed that regional nations will never forget the legendary resistance of the Yemeni people against foreign aggression.

 

The spokesperson further stated that despite the announcement of a halt to US attacks on Yemen, there is no doubt that the US government is considered complicit in the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the people of Yemen.

 

He added the international community must take urgent and effective action to stop the acts of aggression of this regime against Yemen’s civilian infrastructure and the killing of innocent people in the country
