Iran rejects French officials’ anti-Tehran claims about Ukraine war

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman has responded to a question from the IRIB reporter about the French president’s claim that Russia uses Iranian weapons in the Ukraine war.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei has responded to a question from the IRIB reporter about the French president’s claim that Russia uses Iranian weapons in the Ukraine war. Baqaei rejected the allegation, describing the repetition of such unfounded and false accusations by French officials as irresponsible. He noted that the claims also show that French officials are sticking to their policy of projection and lack of seriousness about restoring peace and stability in Europe and the world.

Baqaei stressed that France has made similar false claims over the past three years and demanded the French officials stop their policy of blame game. He noted that the French side must admit its responsibilities and mistakes regarding regional and international peace and security and try to correct those mistakes.

Baqaei added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not involved in the Ukraine conflict and insists on its principled policy of opposing war and considering it as necessary to end wars through dialogue and diplomatic talks between warring sides.
