The Iranian foreign minister described the relations between Iran and Oman as excellent and emphasized Tehran’s readiness to open new areas of cooperation, especially in economic, trade, and energy fields.
Araghchi then referred to President Masoud Pezeshkian’s emphasis on the necessity of implementing agreements between the two countries and said holding a joint economic commission in the near future would be a suitable opportunity to address and pursue this matter.
Araghchi and Busaidi also discussed regional developments with the top Iranian diplomat noting that instability and chaos in Syria are not in favor of Iran or any other country in the region. Araghchi further said the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the formation of an inclusive government that represents all political, social, and civil groups within Syrian society.

The Omani foreign minister expressed his pleasure at visiting Tehran and meeting with his Iranian counterpart. Busaidi underlined the Omani sultan’s special attention to the historical and deep-rooted relations with Iran and expressed hope that exemplary relations between Muscat and Tehran would further expand for the realization of the interests and benefits of both nations as well as for stability, security, and development in the region.

Busaidi further appreciated the responsible position of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Syria and its support for the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the country while respecting the will of the Syrian people. He reiterated Oman’s opposition to any foreign intervention in Syria's internal affairs and also reaffirmed Muscat’s respect for the will and desire of the Syrian people to determine their own fate. Busaidi noted that Oman supports Syria's independence and territorial integrity as well.
