Referring to public protests in response to the desecration of a sacred site in Syria, Esmaeil Baqaei expressed astonishment at baseless accusations made by certain media circles against the Islamic Republic of Iran, alleging interference in Syria’s internal affairs, and categorically rejected such claims.
Baqaei reiterated Iran’s principled stance in supporting Syria’s territorial integrity, national unity, and the establishment of an inclusive political system that ensures the participation of all political factions, ethnic groups, and religious communities. He emphasized the importance of respecting minority rights and safeguarding religious sites.
He further stressed the necessity of preventing the escalation of insecurity and violence against different segments of Syrian society and ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
