The main points of the annual report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding human rights violations by the US and the UK were elaborated during a meeting attended by Khosro Hakimi, an advisor to the head of the Iranian Judiciary and deputy for human rights at the Human Rights Headquarters, Eisa Kameli, Director General for the Americas Department of the Foreign Ministry, and Mohsen Emadi, Assistant Director General for Human Rights and Women’s Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, along with foreign policy journalists.

The third note of the law entitled "Disclosure of Human Rights Violations by the US and the UK in Today's World," passed on April 22, 2012, mandates the Foreign Ministry to prepare an annual report on rights violations in the US and the UK.

Accordingly, with the aim of fulfilling the obligations outlined in this law, the Foreign Ministry has endeavored to address some instances of rights violations by these two countries at both domestic and international levels in two forthcoming reports. This will be based on the latest official reports from various human rights organizations affiliated with the United Nations as well as credible international sources, particularly emphasizing areas such as women's rights, migrants, and systemic racism in the US and the UK in 2024 (the one-year period ending in September 2024).

It is evident that the issues cited in these reports do not encompass all topics and instances of human rights violations by these countries; rather, they aim to highlight the most substantiated and prominent cases based on available statistics and reports.

According to the report on human rights violations by the US in 2024, highlighting instances of human rights abuses in the US is essential to reveal the insincerity of American officials regarding their commitment to human rights and their disregard for international human rights laws, which have left many victims in Iran and other countries. This is a duty for all independent and free nations.

Throughout 2024, the US's actions against human rights on an international level and its hypocrisy in claiming to lead human rights efforts globally have continued. This includes the instrumental use of human rights to justify interventions and complicity with the Zionist regime in violating the human rights of Palestinians, systematic human rights violations, and repeated crimes to maintain the apartheid Zionist regime.
The imposition of unjust unilateral coercive measures, arms transfers, and support for terrorist groups have persisted.
The unconditional support from the US and other Western governments for the Zionist regime has turned the West Asian region into one of the most critical areas in terms of rights violations against the Palestinian people, especially women and children, as a result of the Zionist regime's wars.
The US, through its extensive and unrestricted support for the Zionist regime, has ignored and mocked all international laws, reports, statements, and positions from human rights organizations, thereby questioning the credibility of all international human rights documents.

According to the 2024 report on human rights violations by the UK, the actions and performance of the British government in terms of rights abuses, at local and international levels, continue to be criticized by the UN human rights organizations, the Council of Europe, and human rights advocates. This includes criticism of systemic racial discrimination in the UK, which is one of the most frequent human rights violations in the country.

The most notable case of rights violations by the UK is related to Palestine. Britain has played a direct and indirect role in committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in occupied Palestine by sending weapons to the Zionist regime and providing financial, security, and technological support to the occupying regime. This collaboration continues to violate the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people.
