Iran’s deputy FM meets with speaker of Iraqi council of representatives
Vahid Jalalzadeh Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Parliamentary and Iranian Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives. They discussed bilateral relations and avenues for enhancing legislative and diplomatic cooperation.
Vahid Jalalzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary, and Iranian Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives. They discussed bilateral relations and avenues for enhancing legislative and diplomatic cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides also explored ways to activate cooperation agreements between the joint committees of the two countries, particularly in parliamentary and consular matters.
They further emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address regional and international challenges and to promote security and stability in a manner that serves the interests of the people of the region.
The meeting was also attended by Karim Aliawi Al-Mohammadawi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense.
