Iranian FM Iraqi PM meet in Baghdad talk Israeli regime’s war crimes
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met and held discussions this Sunday afternoon with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia’ Al Sudani.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to Iraq for consultations regarding regional developments, met and held discussions this Sunday afternoon with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia’ Al Sudani.
Referring to his recent visits to Beirut and Damascus as well as recent meetings with officials from some neighboring countries, Araghchi emphasized that the region is in a perilous state.
He added that all regional countries must intensify their efforts to halt the crimes and aggression of the Zionist regime in Gaza and its ongoing military assault against Lebanon.
Araghchi, recalling the responsible stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran toward regional security and stability, stressed that preventing the escalation of the security situation in West Asia requires the immediate cessation of Israel’s crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.
He further highlighted the responsibility of the United States and other nations that supply lethal arms to this regime.
The Prime Minister of Iraq, for his part, pointed to the importance of strengthening consultations between the two countries and with other regional nations during these sensitive times to prevent the region from plunging into an all-out conflict.
He underscored the necessity of serious international action in this regard.
Al Sudani reiterated the commitment of the Iraqi nation and government to continue supporting the people of Palestine and Lebanon in the face of genocide and the aggressions of the occupying regime
